Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is the second book in the HP series. In it, Harry has completed his first year at Hogwarts, and is ready to start his second. One night, Harry is in his room at the Dursley's, when a little house elf named Dobby appears. Dobby is trying to convince Harry not to go to Hogwarts, because evil things are happening there. Harry insists he has to go, and Dobby leaves, but not before frightening the important guests the Dursleys have over. The Dursleys are VERY angry at Harry and lock him in his room. Luckily, the Weasley Twins and Ron come to rescue Harry in a car their Dad has made fly with magic. Harry has good time at the Weasley's and spends the rest of the summer there.

The problems start at the train station. Harry and Ron can't get throught the barrier to Platform 9 and Three Quarters. They decide to drive the flying car to Hogwarts instead. When they get to Hogwarts they are in alot of trouble, but luckily, aren't expelled.

Then strange things start happening at Hogwarts. People are getting petrified (kind of like frozen) by something, but they have no idea what's attacking the students. They discover that the Chamber of Secrets, an evil hidden place in Hogwarts, has been opened, like it was once before, fifty years ago. The last time the Chamber was opened a student died. Things start getting worse and worse, until Ron's little sister, Ginny, is actually taken down into the Chamber, just as Hermione, who discovered what was in the pipes, is petrified. Harry and Ron also figure it out, and go down into the Chamber to save Ginny. I've left out a few details, so if you want to find out EVERYTHING, just read the book;)
